LEARNING @ HOME
TERM TWO - WELCOME BACK
Families will now see the Term Two, Week Three Learning overviews which have been uploaded for each stage. Each overview includes English, Maths and theme-based activities. Also included are some printable worksheets, however we do understand not all families have access to a printer. If this is the case we encourage you to improvise. In addition to the learning tasks, all Waverley students have access to the following online learning platforms: Maths Seeds and Reading Eggs (K-2); Mathletics and Reading Eggspress (3-6). Class teachers will be setting tasks weekly for students to complete. Students can also keep borrowing from our school library via our newly created eLibrary. Details can be found below.

WHAT DOES LEARNING @ HOME LOOK LIKE?
Well from these images....it's different for us all!
eLIBRARY PLATFORM
Waverley Public School is pleased to announce the launch of an online Library collection via the free app ‘ePlatform’, allowing students access to a vast range of quality literature using devices with iOS, Android and Windows platforms. Students can read anywhere, and anytime, even offline.
Download the app from your favourite app store:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/eplatform-by-wheelers/id912668852?ls=1&mt=8
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eplatform.android.googleplay&hl=en

Utilising their NSW School student identification and password, students can ‘borrow’ books for a period of 2 weeks after which time, they are automatically returned.
eBooks are not here to replace hard copy texts, rather allowing an additional tool to support student engagement and access to reading. Furthermore, an eLibrary ensures students continue to have access to regular library sessions whilst supporting their involvement in the 2020 Premier’s Reading Challenge.
Students have been provided with a library card detailing their User ID and Password and are encouraged to test their access as soon as practicable to allow us to troubleshoot any problems which may arise.
Families can read further at https://eplatform.co/au/school/. Please forward any questions to Mrs Richardson via Waverley-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au.
Happy reading!!
